Baby Shower!

Hey there!

Last weekend I hosted my good friend Kathleen's baby shower with the help of a few other ladies. It turned out really well! Kathleen isn't a big fan of games, mostly because games at showers tend to focus on embarrassing the honoree. However! I decided to come up with a few games because I for one don't think staring at a bunch of baby crazy women for 2 hour sounds entertaining. I racked my brain to think of things Kathleen loves, and went from there.Kathleen loves trivia, music, and all things reality TV.

The first game we played was Name That Tune. I found 10 songs that had the word "baby" in the title. It was a blast! I recommended inter-generational teams because the young ladies didn't know The Rolling Stones and the older women weren't in touch with their Bieber Fever.

The second game was a match game. The guests had to match pictures of celebrity children with their parents. There were teams of two, so the team that won that game went head to head for the final question. The fastest one to name all 6 kids in the Brangelina crew won a People magazine!

Here are a few pictures from the party....

As you can see, everyone enjoyed the Match Game!

That's all for now. Peace out 6 followers.

Born Again Blogger

Hello 2 followers! Is that all I really got during my 10 month hiatus?

Anyway...after spending a weekend with Kelli and swapping DIY creations with my cousin Erin, I have decided to give this another shot. Kelli also supplied me with a new camera (apparently when you drop one from six feet in the air it doesn't take pictures anymore, I blame the Sand Bar). Annnnd,  as it just so happened, my husband is back at our Alma Mater this week recruiting for his company, which frees up my schedule to get crafty!

Alas, I am having issues installing my photo software onto my computer, so a post about my flawless, remarkable, errrr novice crafts will have to wait. So for now, here are some pictures of my lovely friends and family that I will often reference in this blog since they are my life!

Me and the hubs at Hogs Head in Harry Potter World enjoying some Butterbeer. By the way, Harry Potter is one of my many obsessions

These two gorgeous ladies I'm pictured with are Heather, my big sister, and Erin, my cousin.
                                                                    Me and Kelli!
This picture is of my dog, Chester, and myself on the edge of a cliff. We are quite adventurous. Ha! Yeah right! If you knew the rest of that campy story your would pee yourself laughing at how pathetic I am!

Well that's all for now! Stay tuned for craftiness once I get my camera figured out!

1st Timer

My friend Kelli introduced me to the idea of blogging. I hopefully will find this therapeutic for myself, and maybe sometimes interesting or funny for any person who opts to read this.

I have been in Oklahoma for about 8 months now, and I can tell you that every day is a challenge. I graduated college in May 2010 and moved (out of my parent's house) to Oklahoma 4 days later to begin a new and challenging life. Leaving behind 3 great parents and 6 amazing siblings, and just one lovable dog was the hardest thing I have yet to face in my 24 years, but the decision to move for my husband was the easiest one I have ever made. We have a simple life. The mexican restaurant down the street from our apartment has deemed us regulars, they keep that ice-cold beer flowin' for us, and our new dog Chester has been a great addition to the family! And now that we have a PS3, I have quickly become addicted to Call of Duty. If you care to friend me, my screenname is "biebs4ever."  I thought this would add some extra hurt to anyone I kill in the game when they assume they were killed by a 14 year old girl.

We live in a suburb of Tulsa but both work in rural areas, so meeting young people worth hanging out with is a challenge. We are learning to rely on eachother and it is great for our marriage. We also are learning the true value of great friends and family as they have shown us how supportive they can be! And on a lighter note, we have learned that when you live in a place with no shortage of casinos, there is no shortage of casino concerts. Recently I went to Boys II Men. Can I just tell you how fabulous it was? There are only 3 of them now, seeing as how the fourth one has scoliosis (but I'm sure we all remember he used to walk with a cane, so this is no suprise). But Boys II Men can still bring it. Although they did open...and close with Motown Philly. I look forward to the next casino concert, and if you should ever venture to OK, I highly recommend attending one.

That's all for now I guess!
